Honouring St Patrick
St Patrick was a Romano-British missionary bishop and survivor of enslavement whose faith awakened during six years of captivity in Ireland. After escaping and returning to his family, he eventually went back to Ireland as a bishop, baptised thousands, formed Christian communities and courageously defended converts who were killed or carried into slavery.
