Accessibility
A site everyone can use
We want every visitor to be able to read about the saints, pray and take part. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Display options
These settings apply straight away across the whole site and are remembered on this device.

What we've done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Headings, landmarks, labels and live announcements are provided for screen readers.
- Text and controls are designed for readable contrast, and pages reflow on small screens and at 200% zoom.
- Animations respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
- Saint pages offer a Listen button that reads the story aloud using your device's own voice. Nothing is sent to us.
- Find Your Saint can be completed with a keyboard or screen reader, and the reveal can be skipped.
Known limitations
- Some older saint portraits and images supplied by organisations may have brief or missing descriptions. We're working through these.
- Event videos hosted on other sites may not have captions.
- Listen depends on your browser; some browsers have no built-in voice.
Tell us about a barrier
