Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This policy is written by the SaintsPathway team. It is not legal advice. SaintsPathway is a small independent Catholic project; this page describes our current practices and will be updated as the project grows.

Who we are

SaintsPathway is operated by Gannie Gazmin, an individual acting as an independent publisher, from England and Wales, United Kingdom. SaintsPathway is not currently a registered company or a registered charity. If that changes, this page will be updated.

You can contact us at hello@saintspathway.com.

What data we collect

  • Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password. You may optionally add profile details such as a display name.
  • Your activity on the site. Saved saints, saved pathways, pathway progress and recommendation results are stored so you can return to them.
  • Guest activity. Before you register, we store the same information locally in your browser. If you later sign in, we merge it into your account.
  • Suggestions & contact. If you submit a saint suggestion or contact us, we store what you send (name, email if provided, message) so we can review and reply.
  • Basic technical logs. Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) for a short period, for security and reliability.

Why we store it

  • To operate the site and let you return to your saved content.
  • To send authentication emails you actually asked for — sign-up confirmations, password resets, magic links.
  • To review reader suggestions and reply to contact messages.
  • To keep the service running securely and detect abuse.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit request.

Cookies & local storage

We use only strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage — for signing in, keeping guest-saved content, and remembering minor preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

  • We use trusted third-party processors to run the site:
  • Our hosting and database provider stores your account and content.
  • Our transactional email provider sends authentication and notification emails.

These providers process data only on our instructions and only to run the service. We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Suggestions and contact messages are kept for as long as they are useful to editorial review, and then archived or removed. Technical logs are kept only for a short operational window.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@saintspathway.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

Children

SaintsPathway is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the project develops. Substantive changes will be noted at the top of the page.
